Large and strong. The edge gluing on the 3/*8 thickness side of the hardwood is all that is holding this together. How can gaps between shapes be dealt with any better then edge gluing?!
Solid vs Engineered
Wear layer thickness in engineered. Keep in mind, this diagram shows a premium engineered product. Many engineered products have a much more thin wear layer.
