Keith carried out a long motorbike trip in France for his Queen's Scout Award Expedition.

The hall was booked, the County Commissioner was booked, the food and drink were all on the table, all the group were there. But where were the leaders? Well, the Marshalls had decided that they no longer wanted to have anything to do with the unit and chose this moment to abandon the unit. Nigel should have arranged the badge and certificate but no one turned up. In the end Keith was presented with the Advanced Scout Standard by the CC in a moment of bluff. He had to buy his own badge from the Scout Shop in Ipswich. And that was it. All a bit sad really.
