Brandeis Elementary was fortunate to have forty-four (44!) students try out for this year's Quick Recall team.
The good news is that scores were up across the board this year, reflecting the hard work our Brandeis Bears have put into studying and preparing for the tryout exam. The bad news is that scores were up across the board this year, meaning that it was even harder for students to crack into the top scores. There were several scores for students that solidly made last year's team that wouldn't have made it this year! Here, you can see the average and median scores for each subject and the overall scores (out of the 65 multiple choice questions):
The top five scores (out of 65) last year were 48, 42, 41, 39, 37. This year, the top five scores were 56, 47, 46, 44, 43, a collective 29 more points scored by this year's top five over last year's.
We're excited to start working on another great year. We have big shoes to fill last year but I'm sure the kids can do it!
p.s. Special thanks to Brandeis Quick Recall alum Anirudh for volunteering his time to help proctor our test!
