Bone in rib roast sitting in my All Clad roasting pan waiting to be seasoned and cooked. I aged it in my refrigerator for five days and I will cover it with crushed garlic, ground pepper and Kosher salt. I then put it in a 450 degree oven for 40 minutes to brown. I then remove the roast from the oven and insert a thermometer into the middle of the roast. I lower the oven temperature to 250 degrees and cook until the center of the roast reaches 125- 130 degrees. At this point remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes. Cover it with aluminum foil to keep it nice and cozy. This will give me a very nice rare roast.Roast beef and baked potato
My beef roast was cooked on low heat in the crockpot from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and it is tender and delicious! The potato was a Fastbaker, as shown in the last picture, and it was perfectly baked in the microwave, nuking it on high for 7 minutes. It has butter, salt, pepper and light sour cream on it.
