LABORATORY OF MOLECULAR NEUROBIOLOGY
We focus on
identification and functional
analysis of signaling pathways, transcriptional and epigenetic
mechanisms
controlling gene expression in microglia and glioma tumor cells.
Employing chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), transcriptomics,
next generation sequencing (NGS),
and bioinformatics, we try to understand transcriptional changes in
microenvironment that promote glioma development. Strong collaboration
with hospitals and use of advanced experimental models allows us to
study potential glioma therapeutic strategies that can be employed in
the clinic.
Our facilities include: transcriptomics, genome wide chromatin immunoprecipitation, next generation sequencing, data mining services for transcriptomics, genomics and proteomics.
