Scholarship Information

The Virginia Dare BPW Education Fund, established by the Virginia Dare Business and Professional Women's Club Outer Banks, awards scholarships to women of the community in time for the fall semester.   In past years the scholarships have helped a number of women to further their educational goals, which have included earning a teaching degree; completing nursing training; continuing nutritional studies; business; marketing; and social work.  

Applicant must be female, aged 25 or older, live in Dare or Currituck County, and be a U.S. Citizen.  Applicant must be working or re-entering the work force, be able to show financial need, and have planned career goals. Applicant may enroll in the educational institution of her choice.
