Tuesday April 6, 2010 ***WARNING! If you haven't seen this week's episode of "Lost" there might be SPOILERS ahead!*** After Tuesday night's episode of "Lost" I can now say with 100% certainty that this is my most favorite television show ever (sorry "Twin Peaks")! The final season's sideways timeline is intriguing and tonight we began to find out why. Its starting to blur into the original timeline with very interesting effect. This episode called "Happily Ever After" focused on Desmond Hume in both timelines. It reminded me of my two favorite previous episodes: "Flashes Before Your Eyes" (Season 3) and "The Constant" (Season 4). The three episodes all strike me as the "heart" of the story and it is clear that the character of Desmond is the key to the endgame. Not a big surprise considering it was he who turned the failsafe key in the hatch way back when. The usual characters in Desmond's universe are still there in the alt timeline although their lives have turned out a tad differently. Any episode with Eloise Hawking is a standout and who can resist the drama at play between Charles Widmore and Desmond in regards to Des' true love, Penny. Add in rocker Charlie Pace (deceased in the original timeline) and you've got one hell of a ride in store! And why am I not surprised that the alt timeline Eloise is still just as savvy about everything that is happening as she was in the original one. She seems to want to keep Desmond from finding out more about the original timeline, probably because her son Daniel Faraday isn't dead in the alt one. But Desmond seems to have figured it out and now he's about to kick ass in both dimensional planes! Only 6 more episodes until the series ends. I can't wait and yet I'm going to be heartbroken when it is over. P.S. The photo is a portion of my "Desmond is my constant" t-shirt!
I'm learning more manual off-camera flash. For this shot, I focused manually on the armrest of the sofa, and then positioned my face inside the plane of focus. Strobist: 430EX 1/16 + coroplast gridspot, triggered via Skyport.
