  • used to fasten icing flowers to the cake after they have dried.
  • A small flat metal disc attached to a thin handle, and used to make buttercream or icing flowers. The flower is piped on the disc and then removed with a small spatula.
  • It is shaped like a carpenter's nail. It has a round, flat surface on a stem. You hold it between your fingers and rotate it while piping buttercream or royal icing out into flower shapes. After they dry, you transfer them to a cake.

Cake decorating tools used to make flowers, stems and leaves. The kids learned to make roses, wild roses, sunflowers and drop flowers (pansies?) using the tools. They also make leaves and stems.
