Welcome to the home of Boys Baseball of Aurora!

Boys Baseball of Aurora, Illinois was formed in 1952 with a goal to provide our youth with an organized summer baseball league.  We are dedicated to providing the boys in Aurora, as well as the surrounding communities, with a baseball program that stresses the early development of fundamentals, the importance of teamwork, the life lessons of good sportsmanship, and above all else, having fun playing age-level competitive baseball.

Governed by a fourteen member Board of Directors, BBA is a Not-for-Profit corporation chartered annually by the State of Illinois.  Sponsored by the City of Aurora, the Fox Valley Park District, and dozens of local businesses and organizations, BBA operates three leagues for boys ages 6-12 and partners with the Turners Club to provide a T-Ball league for kids ages 4-5.  Over 200 Volunteers each year serving as managers, coaches, and scorekeepers, staff over 50 teams playing on 15 fields.

BBA is organized into four leagues.  The Major League is for boys 11 and 12 years of age.  Here, fundamentals are honed and baseball skills are on exhibit as teams compete against divisional opponents.  At the Minor League level, boys 8-10 years of age experience their first taste of competition in an environment dedicated to enhancing fundamentals and teamwork in a setting that is fun for all.  The Rookie League is for 6 and 7 year olds.  Within the framework of a team, boys are introduced to baseball fundamentals in a fun atmosphere designed to promote a lasting love for the game.  Our T-Ball program is done in partnership with the Aurora Turners Club and is for boys 4 and 5 years old.  Here the very basics of the game are taught in short sessions to help spark an enjoyment of baseball.

In addition to our "in house" program described above, BBA also offers Tournament Team competition for boys ages 8-14.  These four teams comprising the Aurora Starz, provide a tremendous opportunity for our boys to participate at a higher level of competition in weekend tournaments.  Culminating in a trip each year to Cooperstown by the 12 year old team, every level of Starz team is self supported via sponsorships, donations, and fund raisers.

BBA is also proud of its Hall of Fame.  Beginning with an inaugural class in 2009, we continue to honor individuals who have served as Board Members, Managers, and Umpires providing their time and talent to the League.  We continue to recognize Friends of the League who have been instrumental in promoting our goals through their dedication to baseball in Aurora. Finally, we honor those most important to us-players who have demonstrated the highest level of skill and sportsmanship at our levels of play and who have gone on to play competitively through the age of 18.  Several have progressed through the Minor Leagues to reach Major League Baseball.

Our website has features we invite you to explore.  Scheduling has links to add games to your digital calendar and directions to fields.  The Sponsor page credits those businesses and organizations who support Boys Baseball of Aurora.  Our Policy and Form pages gives Players, Parents, and Volunteers alike a source for information related to everything from Registration to Field Safety.  And our team pages give managers an opportunity to communicate information directly and instantly to parents and players throughout the season.

Enjoy Boys Baseball of Aurora 2015!
