The 2011 BET Awards is what's on everyones mind right now, especially on the minds of the artists, celebrities, and executives in the music industry! The Media is all over Bobby Martin this year, he's already posing on the red carpet! For those of you who don't know; Bobby Martin is a Grammy Award Winning Icon and Classic R&B Producer that's well known around Hollywood. Bobby's music is heard around the whole world! He's that Legendary Grammy Award Winning Producer that used to work at Capitol Records in Hollywood and for all the major record labels, he was based at A&M Records with Quincy Jones! Bobby Martin has produced hit after hit song, he produced the second double platinum record to ever earn platinum certification. He produced The Manhattans platinum hit song "Kiss And Say Goodbye" for Clive Davis in 1976 at CBS/Columbia Records. This Legendary Producer and Icon was also the center of attention in the late 1970's after winning a Grammy Award on stage with The Bee Gees for his production on the song K-Jee! The song K-Jee is still heard in the Saturday Night Fever movie score and soundtrack. Bobby Martin was as popular in the 1970's as P. Diddy is today. No one can produce or arrange that Bobby Martin sound, except for the one and only! He arranged hit singles for Michael Jackson and The Jackson's like; "Enjoy Yourself", another called Me And Mrs. Jones (for Bill Paul), And "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" for Lou Rawls! He's had a tremendous career in the (music business) music industry! He is a successful executive and producer that still writes and produces music. Bobby Martins Production Company (Bobby Martin Productions) was one of the sponsors for the Pre-BET Toast that was held on June 22, 2011. This years honorees included: Billy Johnson, Nautica De La Cruz, Marilyn Bachelor, Leo Rodgers, Darrel Miller, Jycorri Robinson, and David Mitchelle. However, as celebrities and recording artists began to fill the event, Bobby Martin showed up as a special guest. Ernie Singleton then decided to honor and salute Bobby Martin for his great accomplishments, and for the success that he has had as an executive in the music industry since the early 1960's until now. Ernie Singleton took a few extra minutes to thank Bobby Martin for his support and for supporting BET and The Pre-BET Awards. Bobby Martin was a real encouragement to all the younger executives and celebrities at the 4th Annual Pre-BET Awards, and every one kept saying that he looked dapper!
