This book is NOW AVAILABLE for purchase.  It is more of an effort to publish  military history in the form of black and white photos taken by my Dad, along with his recollections of his experiences at Saipan.  This book should be useful for military historians and genealogists because it contains the ENTIRE personnel roster of Naval Air Base Marpi.  I was lucky enough to find the Base's ENTIRE cruise book, printed on poor quality paper of average printing quality, assembled with an Acco fastener.  There are 1,818 enlisted personnel listed in 14 pages of the cruise book.  (I know, I counted the names!)

The Order form will be on a separate page, posted later.  CONTACT INFORMATION:  FAX number 508-462-5585.

You can order this book through the Navy Seabee Museum in Davisville, RI at the following link:

This book is dedicated to the loving memory of Howard W. Hogg (1920 – 2007), the kindest and most generous father a son could ever be lucky enough to have.  It is also dedicated to the loving memory of Helen Hogg, my Mother, and George R. Hogg, my Uncle, Dad’s Brother and “hero.”  They shall all live forever in my heart and spirit.

My thanks and love go to my Aunt Bettye for providing me with the pictures of George taken with her and furnishing me with the details of George’s military service.
