His Church choral activities Boris M. Feoktistov started with General Church obediences: guarding, was the janitor, was an altar boy and Psalm-reader in the churches of Moscow. Visited monasteries, as pilgrim. In the Pskov-Pechorsky monastery communicated with spiritual father Ioahnn (Krestiankin),spiritual father Olipij (Voronov), the Pochayiv Lavra and Solovki monastery (was closed). As a conductor, Boris Feoktistov created the concert choir to perform in spiritual concerts and festivals of Church music and art of deacon. On the firm «Melody» this choir were recorded works of classics of Russian Church: «the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom» muses. S.V. Rachmaninov, and also compositions А.V.Nicolskyj, V.S.Kalinnikov, Chesnokov, Grechaninov, Shvedov. In the new monastery of the Saviour was made to write a Requiem («Requiem»). As the firm «Melody» written an essay in the author's performance «the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom» and «Patriarchal vestments». In 1993, his Holiness Patriarch Alexy II was at the opening of the exhibition in the Manege, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the murder of the Imperial family and choir, under the baton of the composer, was invited for the execution of doleful songs «Eternal memory to all for the Faith and Fatherland victims» («Parastas»). Feoktistov participate as a composer and music editor and Director in preparing and conducting the Christmas festivals, the organizer of which is the Orthodox Russia. Publishing house «Kupina» published an essay Feoktistov «Patriarchal vestments», dedicated to His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II and dedicated to the 40th anniversary of His Ministry in the dignity of Archbishop.
