About the Club

Who We Are & What We Do

▪   40+ local club members - paddlers, canoeist and kayakers

▪   2,000 – 4,000 combined km paddled yearly by members

▪   Paddling season from May to October

▪   Annual events like:

Evening paddles on the Snye

Local day trips

Overnight camp outs

River stewardship projects

Paddling film festival

Training and skills course from beginner to advanced

The Objectives of the Borealis Paddling Club

▪   Promote local recreational canoeing by providing maps, routes, information, current conditions, and contacts.

▪   Share knowledge and learning through clinics and training.

▪   Organize social events, gatherings, and trips.

▪   Cooperate with other clubs and associations in the province and country.

▪   Encourage safe, low impact camping and canoeing.

▪   Support the protection and conservation of our sustainable paddling environment.

▪   Provide a point of contact and voice representing the interests of local recreational paddling.
