Other upcoming gaming opportunities:
Game 'n Grill - Green Mountain Gamer's game day, 12 hours of gaming - Vergennes, VT - June 27th
November 6-8th - Vermont's only tabletop gaming convention held every November in Killington. We highly recommend attending Carnage. It is 3 days of gaming and is an awesome place to learn and play games. The are lots of lodging options in Killington but if you want to stay at the hotel where the convention is held, The Killington Grand, we recommend reserving your room as early as possible. The Grand fills up quickly! If you wait and the Grand has run out of rooms, don't worry, there are lots of other nearby lodging options.

BBG was created in an effort to find other people in the Orleans County area who enjoy playing tabletop games as much as we do.
So, what types of games do we like to play? When we gather, we mostly play board games but the board games we play are games that people traditionally haven't heard of, such as: Settlers of Catan, Carcasonne, Ticket to Ride, or Dominion. These games are what are known as EuroGames. They all involve strategy and thinking with a little luck thrown in.
Several people who have attended have never heard of the games we play but after playing, find them to be very fun. We've had several people tell us they are glad to have come because if they hadn't, they wouldn't had been introduced to these fun games and look forward to attending the next game night. Please don't worry about not knowing these games. We realize people are unfamiliar with them and happily teach them to anyone who attends.
We also play other tabletop games. Many of the people who attend BBG play roleplaying games too. These include games like Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu and The Song of Ice and Fire. If you'd like to form a roleplaying group, you are more than welcome to use the village hall as a play space on the same night we play board games (every 3rd Saturday). Or, if we have space, we would love to have new players for our montly RPG group.
Depending upon people's schedules, we try to meet every month in Derby Line for a roleplaying session.
