Beat the Builder: Run for the Dominican Republic Three-Race Series

Friday July 7, Friday July 21, and Friday August 4, 2017 at 6:30 pm

Recreation Park on Hennequin Road, Columbia, CT

All of the funds raised from the race will be directly used to send local students to the Dominican Republic to build homes for those in need. We are hosting a charitable race series called the Beat the Builder - Run for the DR on July 7, July 21, and August 4, 2017. The winner of each race will run dressed as a construction worker, the ‘builder’, at the next race; the grand prize of the race is to ‘beat the builder’ and become the ‘builder’ for the next race. This family event will be held at Recreation Park in Columbia, CT.  All are welcome to join us for this 5k race series on the park trails, a short sprint race for children under five, and hot dog and hamburgers after the race finale (August 4).

If you cannot make it out on all of these dates, we hope you will consider donating to help support our trip and the people of the Dominican Republic.  All donations will go directly towards the trip. Mail cash or checks payable to Bolton High School to Mark Mishriky, 72 Brandy Street, Bolton, CT 06043.  Thank you!

Safety Information:  To ensure your safety, we will have EMT, fire & rescue, and police at the race.

Rest Rooms:  We are confident that builder chasers like yourselves will not be deterred by these rugged conditions.  They will be open, but they are maintained by the town of Columbia.

Course Update:  This course is very flat and takes place within the confines of Rec Park.

Payment Info: If you have not yet paid to participate, please bring $20 cash or a $20 check made payable to Bolton High School on the day of the race.

Fun Stuff: The Builder has agreed to make an appearance.  Even if you can't beat him (he's a pretty fast Builder), there are unique prizes for the overall series winners in each category after the final race (August 4). With our registration numbers, there proves to be a good deal of competition at the event!

Results: Results will be posted to hitekracing.com and will also be attached at the bottom of this website.
