Rebecca Brimhall

Rebecca Brimhall (b. 1992) is a composer, pianist, singer, lyricist, and creative writer. Her music has been described as emotionally provoking, beautiful, and a delight to perform. Using unique textures, melodies, and harmonies, she looks to historical and literary inspirations to compose her various works. She often draws on her own literary works (such as her original poetry and first fantasy novel published in 2015). Since 2009, Rebecca has completed works for orchestra, chamber ensembles, choir, soloists, and dance collaboration. She has studied with pianists Brook Brimhall, Darryl Schoenborne, and Barton Moreau, vocalists Amy Carter, Laura Rushing-Raynes, and Christopher Raynes, and composers David Biedenbender, Samuel L. Richards, and Eric Alexander.

Currently, Rebecca is studying at Boise State University, working towards obtaining a Bachelor of Music in Composition, a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Voice. She plans to pursue a Masters Degree in Music Composition at Michigan State University or the Royal College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales, where she hopes to study scoring for film, documentaries, and video games.
