During the body mapping process, participants were led through a series of prompts and guided exercises, enabling them to create the framework for their own personal maps.  The resulting artwork is richly embedded with symbolism,  emotion and meaning.

Although the individual body maps are unique, it is possible to draw out common symbols and representations.  The list below provides a sample of some  of the general body mapping themes resulting from workshop activities and discussion.   As each participant contributes self-identified imagery and personal meaning to their maps, there will be room for a range of interpretations.
