CBS Advisory Board Networking Event  -  3rd November 2011

"Thank you and the band for playing at our event – you read the crowd perfectly and the music really made the night. My boss, was particularly pleased – he had originally been quite a cynic to the jazz band idea but you definitely helped us prove him wrong! Thank you also for being so easy to deal with and so accommodating".

"On the 19th of February 2011 Blue Monk Jazz Band with vocalist Libby Hammer , travelled 300Km's to Manjimup in order to perform at the inaugural Jazz in the Jarrah, an open air concert to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The crowd were blown away by the versatility of the band and thanks to Libby, Kim, Phil, Manoli and Toby, planning has already begun for next year when we will do it all again".

"Thanks Blue Monk for helping to make the Perth Swing Dance Society's latest live Splanky so lovely.

We had lots of happy dancers thanks to your music!!".

Fiona Kemp – Perth Swing Dance Society

"On May 29th we were entertained by BLUE MONK which re-united three of the Anning family plus Phil Hatton also special guest vocalist Libby Hammer. Guitarist Kim had put together some interesting arrangements to feature sons Sam on bass(on holiday from New York} and Toby on drums. Phil Hatton excelled on tenor sax and clarinet with mellifluous and swinging solos. He also combined well with Kim's guitar solos. The leader also sang some amusing duets with Libby with whom he often does duo work, so they have an excellent rapport to provide a very satisfying session".
