Kentucky Equine Survey

posted Nov 21, 2011, 4:37 PM by Leslie Potter
The University of Kentucky Equine Initiative, University of Louisville Equine Business Program and the National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) will be conducting a survey of the Kentucky horse industry during 2012. This survey is meant to quantify the number of horses in the state and calculate the economic impact of the equine industry--NOT just racing!

The NASS will distribute the survey next summer. If you receive the survey, please complete it whether you show your horses, trail ride, or just watch them graze in the pasture. We want to make sure the Morgan segment of the industry is counted.

The Kentucky Equine Initiative is also soliciting input from horse owners about what issues are important to their breed, discipline, or area of interest. If you have any thoughts on this, please email with "Kentucky Equine Survey" in the subject line.
