Makes approximately 1 pound
10 ounces dark chocolate, roughly chopped
Line a baking sheet or tray with wax paper.
Place chopped chocolate in a heat safe bowl and place in the microwave on 30 second bursts, stirring between cooking, until almost melted. Stir until smooth.
Immediately place peanut butter chips and shortening in another heat safe bowl and place in the microwave on 30 second bursts, melting the same way you melted the dark chocolate. Stir until smooth. Add in diced bacon, reserving 1 tablespoon for topping.
Alternating spoon chocolate and peanut butter mixtures onto prepared baking tray. Using the tip of a sharp knife, gently swirl together. Sprinkle with remaining bacon and sea salt if desired. Chill for at least an hour. Break up and serve.
