Coglitz

Experimental Gameplay Project's theme for June 2011 is mashup and my submission is Coglitz, a mix of games I like: Cogs and Droplitz. I just thought: what would result from this combination?

Discussion about Coglitz in my desktop...

Instructions:

Windows users: quick play this game on Game Jolt
The others: compile from sources!

Click on tiles to move them.
Turn the mouse wheel on a tile to rotate it.

Little coglitz appear on the top of the screen: let them go to the bottom by making paths.
Let's score!

Play in hardcore mode to disable tile rotation.

From sources

Download the source (both code and assets)

You need:
- g++ (MinGW on Windows, not tested with VC++)
- Python 2.x (scons seems not to work with 3.x)
- scons
- SFML 1.6
- Lua 5.1

You should change paths in the SConstruct file to fit your configuration.

Launch scons on the main directory and hope. It compiles successfully on my Windows and Debian.

Note: the source code is a real mess. I should clean it up in the next few days, you shouldn't read it until it's presentable :)
