Time Disturbances Trapped Ezekiah

The session began on the 8th of Fireseek, in conversation with the being now known as Ezekiah. He was drawn to our plane by disturbances in the passage of time, which Kendra immediately attributed to the activities of Lareth and Feridwyn. After prompting by Kendra, he confessed that he was in fact trapped upon the Prime, and supposed he would remain so until the anomalies had been resolved.

The Infamous House of Garasteth

Ezekiah had gathered a series of things from around the ruined tower, which he supposed had relevance to his dilemma, and would be of interest to the party. He was right in thinking so. His accoutrements were ledgers, logs and notes of a wizard named Ethylydor Garasteth. Ceridwen recalled hearing of the wizard's house. It was feared in the Great Kingdom for its wizards, scholars, and its eldritch secrets (more information is present in the chatlog 108). Ethylydor, apparently, also dabbled in Time Magic...

Hedrack and Yibiyru, the Besiegers

A small scrap of paper that Ezekiah had collected contained a drafted version of a sending that Ethylydor had prepared. It warned that his tower was under siege, that he could not hold out long, and that the High Priest Hedrack was among the forces. He was not the most sinister of the besiegers, however, as the sending also mentioned Yibiyru. Yibiyru, as Kendra realised, was one of Zuggtmoy's lieutenants. As a frame of reference for when the assault may have occurred, Zuggtmoy was imprisoned around CY569, after the battle of Emriddy meadows. It is supposed that Zuggtmoy may have wanted access to House Garasteth's Time Magic.

Problems with Teleportation and Shadow Magic

Ezekiah warned the party that shadow magic was not working well, and that he could not use it himself. Wishing to travel to Innspa, Ceridwen decided it was worth an attempt to see if it would work. When she did try to enter the shadow plane, some force prevented her from doing so. The party were immediately returned to the Prime Material, encircled by Greater Shadows. Wasting no time, Ceridwen created a dimension door, whisking the party to safety. However, even that magic went awry -- the party ended up several hundred feet away from where they were supposed to end up.

Innspa to be Invaded by the Forces of Overking Ivid, the Mad

Leaving the tower behind, the party finally encountered a band of Hextorites by the river that runs through the Adri forest. As it later became known after the party won their trust -- they were a scouting force, surveying how best to attack Innspa on the behalf of the Overking of the Great Kingdom. This was a secret, only exposed to the party after news from the Southwest was imparted. The force was led by Annis, whilst a chap named Crowley acted as their Chaplain. They were rather edgy upon first meeting the party, calling Kendra and Ceridwen "Adri witches" (suggesting fear of the arcane, and women in particular). They were calmed by promises of shared food and shelter, after they were reassured that the party had no violent intention.

A Sojourn to Rauxes?

Crowley and Annis had not heard of Hextor's return to Oerth. Ceridwen informed Crowley. After the exposition, Crowley seemed intent that Ceridwen travel with him to Rauxes to tell the High Priest of Hextor. The session ended with this dilemma.
