Each carpet kit is made to order and designed to fit your vehicle's exact year, make and model. This kit is made from nylon carpet with an OE-style welded heal pad and it includes easy-to-follow installation instructions. Our molded carpet is designed to fit the floor pan of your vehicle so there are no pockets of loose fitting carpet. We use a heavy Jute pad bonded to the underside of the carpet, which softens the floors for your feet, as well as deaden any sounds from under the vehicle.
Front Door Dalhenzean Farm House
This photograph shows water damage to the carpeting at the front door and passage. The carpeting has now been saturated for some time. Water has peneted both the door and frame and the door sticks (and freezes) in the frame. The door is of interior quality and despite having had a laminate layer added during 2010, is inadequate for its purpose. The laminate layer has become split and buckled in places (please see photograph), the exterior paint coating is incomplete and the weather strips/ seals have not been replaced. Please note that the carpeting is not wet from boots or shoes as it is normally covered by a plastic runner. The poor quality of the door, draughts, insulation and water penetration was first raised in January 2007. It has subsequently been raised on a number of occasions. We are aware that the matter of the inferior quality of the door was raised with Finegand Estate by the late Neil Young (architect) and by Roger Clare (Acting Centre Manager). While we are grateful that some work was done on the door during 2009 (commissioned by Finegand Estate), the work has proved to be inadequate (and has not bee finished). The original problems still exist. We are distressed at the apparent “make do” attitude towards issues that affect the comfort and wellbeing of the tenants. I refer you to the lease agreement in which it is stated that it is the landlord’s responsibility to ensure that the "subject of let" is maintained in a "wind and watertight condition". "(6) The Landlord's Responsibilities (6.1.1 Structure and Exterior)" This matter has now been raise with Finegand Estate (22nd of November 2010). We await a responce. by Andrew Hudgins The summer we lived half-way underground we watched legs scissor past, until damp grass grew to fill our window - wavering, translucent with green light. Between snarled gibes about some guy you'd kissed, how poor we were, the rain, we sat on the couch and stared into the wettest spring we'd ever seen. Warm water seeped through walls and drenched the carpet. We pulled it up and found another world had thrived in the darkness beneath our feet. It spread. Exquisite variants of green rot ran riot, dappling the walls with almost turquoise spores. On top of them, starbursts of green-black blossomed, blackened utter black - as if mortality crept in each night and pressed black kisses on the paint. We scrubbed, waited a night, and they returned. In bed, not touching, we dreamed they covered us. At last, we stripped the whole place empty, tossed shoes, chairs and kickknacks on the lawn. Our yelling frightened the neighbors and, hell, it scared us too. Our red hands smoldered underneath harsh soap. We fought, and scrubbed possessions till they broke against the bristles. We left wet shattered things out drying in the sun, returned to almost barren rooms that reeked of bleach, and slept, now holding hands, raw burning hands that we would not let go. Some books, some chairs, some knicknacks all survived. And so did we, my love, but separately.
