Keith Bleyer has been involved in sports broadcasting and soccer coaching for nearly four decades. He joined the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer as the club's radio announcer during the 2012 season and has also served the same role for numerous Timbers television broadcasts since 2013, including two full years (2015 MLS Cup winning season) as the team's primary TV play-by-play man. Bleyer worked the 2011 Major League Soccer season as a touchline reporter for nationally televised 'Soccer Night in America' telecasts on the Fox Soccer Channel. He has been broadcasting soccer since the late nineties, beginning with radio play-by-play duties for the Colorado Rapids of MLS. From 2000-2007 Bleyer was the pre-game show host and dugout reporter for the Colorado Rockies (MLB) on Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain (known now as Root Sports) and hosted various programs for the network including play-by-play of football and basketball. Bleyer moved back to his native Pacific Northwest to further his soccer coaching career, which began in 1998. He is currently the Assistant Director of Coaching for the Valor Soccer in Maple Valley, Washington. He holds a US Soccer National 'A-Youth' Coaching License and United Soccer Coaches National Premier Diploma.
