Last Meeting, May 25th - What We Learned this Year!

posted Apr 26, 2017, 5:15 PM by Masscue Blsig

Hello everyone,

Wow can't believe it is mid-April already.  This has been quite a busy year for our members and we have learned so much together! The launch of MAPLE, school Learning tours and conferences: MassCUE, iNACOL, LearnLaunch, Future Ready, METAA all contributed to our collective knowledge and growth this year.

Our last meeting of the year will be on Thursday, May 25th from 8:15 AM - 11:30 AM in Westford, MA.

The Presentation Topic: “What We Learned This Year about Blended/Personalized Learning and What We Still Want to Know” This will give us an opportunity to share the best of what we learned with each other! Presenters have 15-20 minutes to share what they learned and what they applied in their school or district this year.  If you want to present please indicate on the signup what the topic is and what you will share out with the group.

Here is the link to the AGENDA, with the Signups to participate and/or present and Upcoming Calendar of Events:

Beyond Measure screening at MassCUE Conference on Wednesday, October 19th 2016 at 3 PM

posted Oct 18, 2016, 7:33 AM by Grace Magley

For those attending the MassCUE conference on Wednesday, October 19th 2016
Join MassCUE and Whalley Computer for a Special Screening of the film “Beyond Measure: Rescuing an Overscheduled, Overtested, Underestimated Generation” from the makers of “Race to Nowhere".

Come see the film that everyone is talking about!  Imagine an education system that values personal growth over test scores. Inquiry over mimicry. Passion over rankings. What if we decide that the purpose of school is not the transmission of facts or formulas, but the transformation of every student? Meet the public schools that are daring to reimagine education.

Panel Discussion immediately after will address how local schools and communities are working together to maximize the potential of young people!

Great Meeting Today!

posted Sep 15, 2016, 6:55 PM by Masscue Blsig

Hello Blendinmass.org members,

We had a great meeting and conversation today about Blended Learning to Power Personalized Learning!  Thanks to Ann Koufman-Frederick, Megan Smallidge and Roy Chan for leading us in a great discussion and updating us on the MAPLE Consortium.  Roy is a new member to our group and he shared what was happening in the Boston Public Schools around Personalized Learning.  Glad to have Roy join us!

All member please note the paragraph about the BLU Star Innovator Search website in the meeting notes. I did not get a chance to go over this at the meeting as we ran out of time.  Also check out the Calendar of Events. Start marking your calendar as it is going to be another great year for Innovation in Blended and Personalized Learning!

I will be at the #GoOpen Event in Cambridge on September 23rd.  Hope to see some of our members there!
