  • Eagle Project Opportunity The Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) has two projects in search of a Scout needing an Eagle Project. The first would be repairing a bridge that has slanted to the side creating an uneven walking surface at the TLC's Swift Creek Bluffs property. The second is installing a split rail fence at their Walnut Hill property. There may also be other possibilities in addition to these two. For more information on working on Eagle projects with the TLC contact Mr. Nate Burns of the TLC at nburns@triangleland.orgRemember that when any Scout meets with an adult there must be at least two adults present. No one on one; this includes text or email.

  • Youth Protection Training Update See the attached announcement regarding the new YPT requirements. Every Scouter must complete the new training by 1 October 2018 regardless of when your current YPT training expires.  Also, beginning 1 June 2018 all adults (18 and older) who will be present at any Scouting activity of 72 hours or greater must register as volunteers and complete the background check and YPT. This includes parents and any other adults who will present for this period of time. If they register as a Scouter Reserved they do not have to do the training and will not be counted in your unit's percentage of trained Scouters.
