  • A table on which meals are served in a dining room
  • The first dining tables of which survivors remain are the type known as refectory tables. They are made usually of oak, and one of the earliest, at Penshurst Place in Kent, has a typical thick top of joined planks supported on three separate trestles.

Table Setting
Table Setting
Essentially an upscale trattoria with prices fitting for a downtown environment (the location is anything but downtown - instead on the edge of midtown, bordering uptown). I had heard from various sources that the prices were rather high, but after perusing the menu I was rather suprised by that claim, they are if anything normal. Could this be the stigma of diners who generally accept that Asian cuisine (except Japanese) should be cheap, and Italian should be supersized, family style and available at rock bottom prices at work? It's rather unfair. That said, the menu at Fabbrica isn't groundbreaking nor revolutionary, so the raves from others who claim it beyond amazing and just like a trip to Italy is a little exaggerated.
Seaside Dining
Seaside Dining
Simple and cheap dining by the sea. This was taken at roughly 6pm, and you have about 4 hours to finish your meal before high tide sets in and nearly reaches the tables.
