Huntington Carpet Rosemary Plant - Inside or Out
The 'Rosemary Huntington Carpet' Herb Plant is a low-growing variety of rosemary that reaches a foot tall and can spread to 8 feet wide! Its cascading growth habit makes it a stunning addition to edges and container gardens. Glossy dark green foliage is topped with abundant deep blue flowers. Full sun and well-drained soil create the perfect environment for this plant. Huntington Carpet Rosemary is a perennial evergreen in many growing regions. A valuable culinary herb throughout Europe, this rosemary is as attractive as it is fragrant. It is used in fresh and dried floral arrangements, potpourris, topiaries, wreaths and bath salts. Pinching back the leaves will encourage continual growth throughout the season. In the kitchen, it is a wonderful seasoning for potatoes, lamb and other roasted meats, and tomato-based sauces. It takes very little to add a lot of flavor!82% (19)

Rosemary "Huntington Carpet" will provide a beautiful carpet of deep blue flowers that are backed by fragrant foliage, making an attractive spreading ground cover. Fast growing to 1 to 2 feet tall by about 6-8 feet wide if not clipped. Pair this rosemary variety with sun loving Mediterranean plants or other herbal cooking varieties like Lavender, Sage, or Thyme. Other ornamentals that will compliment this Mediterranean setting include Rockrose, Tree Mallow and Cranesbill. Consider the "Huntington Carpet" on the interior of low hedged Boxwood or Euonymus. All rosemary varieties make excellent ground covers for sunny banks or along paths, and are fine additions to containers, where the foliage can spill over pot edges. Hardy to USDA zone 8 and all higher zones, and is shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.See also:
