The Family Directory is a booklet distributed to all families.  Committee members collect and enter information.  This booklet is distributed in the fall.

Staff Appreciation Week is a week in May planned to thank our wonderful staff for their dedication to our children.  Committee members arrange for a week of kind gestures for teachers and organize a luncheon.

Staff Conference Supper/Lunch This event is meant to treat our amazing teachers to some delicious food on conference nights when they don’t have time to get a nice home-cooked meal of their own. So, we bring it to them! This is truly a much-appreciated event by the staff. The committee coordinates the donations of food and arranges for the set up and clean up of the teachers' lounge.

Fourth Grade Graduation is hosted by the PTO for graduating 4th graders and their families after the ceremony. Volunteers help coordinate the decorations, cake, treats, drinks and anything else we can come up with to celebrate.

School Dances are a favorite school event with the kids. The Fall Costume Dance is held in October.  Help is needed with decorations, serving food and drinks, and ensuring our kiddos and families have a safe, fun time.

Operation Joy is an annual community event that allows families to donate items anonymously to children and families in need within our Brooklyn and Oregon communities. There are two collections in the fall; one for clothing and one for new and unwrapped toys.  Volunteers are needed to help collect the donated items, transport them to Oregon, and assist with coordinating the donations.

Beat the Winter Blues Fest is held in January or February. Help is needed with decorations, serving food and drinks, gathering donations for prizes, or just making sure everyone is having a good time.  The event is fun for the whole family, and a great way to avoid cabin fever!

Share Fair is an event in April and is open to all Brooklyn kids.  It is a chance for students to share their unique talents and interests with the entire school and families, in a displayed exhibit in the gym. ALL participants receive awards! Committee members are needed for this event to coordinate/set up the gym, and judge the projects.

Picnic on the Playground is an end of the year tradition.  The entire school family enjoys hamburgers and brats cooked by our local Fire & EMS team and games, outside on the school grounds.  This committee coordinates the games, food, and volunteer help.

Assemblies are a great way to learn through entertainment.  This committee works with teachers on the event.

PTO Website is a great resource for parents and the staff.  This committee would set up and maintain a website.
