Recent Activities

  1. Our paper "Towards Optimal Energy Store-Carry-and-Deliver for PHEVs via V2G System" has been nominiated for the best paper award finalist in INFOCOMM 2012.
  2. I have been invited to serve as an Editor of "KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems (TIIS)" since Jan. 2012.
  3. Our paper "Decentralized Economic Dispatch in Microgrids via Heterogeneous Wireless Networks," was accepted to appear in IEEE JSAC, 2012.

My research interests lie in the area of mobile wireless communications and networking with focuses on the following topics:

- Mobility and power management in mobile wireless networks

- Distributed computing in mobile wireless networks

- Designed energy efficient sleep scheduling protocols for Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networks (DTNs) that are adaptive and distributed under both synchronous and asynchronous clock based scenarios

- Designed a distributed global clock synchronization algorithm for DTNs that provides faster convergence speed and lower clock synchronization error

- Designed a semi-asynchronous sleep scheduling protocol for mobile wireless networks that exploits the distribution of clock synchronization error

 

Assistant Engineer, 2005/02 ~ 2006/07

I-Project, Telecommunications Networks Division, Samsung Electronics, Suwon, Korea

- Developed a series of Multi-Service Business Gateway (MSBG) “UbiGate iBG” that integrates wireless, wired, VoIP, and security functions

- Developed and tested Layer 2 protocols in C and C++

- Created technical manuals for the protocol architecture and testing

- Trained test engineers and GUI software developers
