I'm currently a post-doctoral fellow in the Price lab at the Harvard School of Public Health (since May, 2012). In 2014 I will begin a two-year DFF (Danish Council for Independent Research) individual postdoctoral grant, where I will move to Aarhus University while continuing close collaborations with people at the Broad Institute and Harvard University. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a PhD in Computational Biology (2011), where I was a part of the Nordborg lab which moved during my graduate studies to the Gregor Mendel Institute in Vienna, Austria. I received a MSc in Bioinformatics (2006) and a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics (2003) from the University of Copenhagen. Before 2000, I lived in Iceland, where I'm originally from. I am married to Dorte Pedersen and we have two children together, Anna Silja and Jonas Egill. You can follow our everyday life on our blog, our old LA blog is here and old Vienna blog is here.
