Have been absent from Flickr for quite some time. It’s been so busy. We’ve had funerals. Cindy was hospitalized for 9 days with pneumonia. I missed two weeks of work. A raccoon tore a hole in the roof and took up residence in the attic. The live trap I set and filled with marshmallows, tuna fish, cat food and peanut butter and jelly failed to capture him for two weeks. Dang thing ate everything I put in it. ‘Coon ate more than I did. Insurance adjuster wouldn’t crawl up there from the inside. He was afraid the ‘coon would be there. I had been feeding it for two weeks. Told him it was probably as big as a bear by now and couldn’t fit in the trap. It probably would have left earlier if I had stopped feeding it. Never did catch it. I think it got to big to fit back into the hole. Pepper crawled down a rabbit/armadillo den he found that was dug up under the house foundation. Carmen heard him barking under the living room concrete at one in the morning. She woke me up and I thought she was nuts. He was stuck behind the concrete lip and we couldn’t reach him. It took me about ? hour of digging before I was able to reach far enough under the foundation to get my hands on him. He was stuck fast. I finally dug out from under him enough I could pull him out. He almost smothered. When I finally was able to drag his sorry butt out, he just lay on his side and breathed. I should have just filled the hole in and gone back to bed. If you get stuck under the house that just what you get. Idiot dog. Carmens wedding is only 12 days away. I will be so happy when its finally over. I don’t think I have ever seen so much planning and stress involved with any event I have been associated with. I bet Lady Diana’s was planned with less fanfare. Why do you have to have chair covers for a reception hall? Who’s ass really cares if the chair is ugly? How ugly does a chair have to be before you cover it? Why rent a reception hall that has ugly chairs? How important can some color actually be? How come the colors changed all the time? We had to change the color of the cake a couple of times. I guess I shouldn’t have made fun of the first colors she chose. Last year the colors were supposed to be red and yellow. RED AND YELLOW?! I thought it could be called the hot dog wedding! Instead of the wedding march we could sing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”. Red and yellow Gerber Daisies were the only flowers in the world. For years I heard that. We were supposed to have a couple of bushels of them for “The Weddin”. That changed last week. LAST WEEK? Now its roses. Cutting it a bit close here. Holy smokes. I hoped that it was too late, but the florist jumped right on it. Roses it is. Why change the color of the flower girls dress three times? Why buy three flower girl dressed BEFORE you settle on your color? Flower girl was stressed. How come the table centerpieces have changed? I thought that was settled six months back? What do we do with all the crap in the garage that we bought during the first several plans? Why do I have to buy different centerpieces? I can’t remember what centerpieces looked like at any of the weddings I’ve attended. Can any of you? Picked up the shower cake and while is sat in the fridge the icing started to crack. From the way the females acted you would have thought lightning struck. So what if the shower cake icing is cracking? You’re going to cut it to pieces anyway. Stop whining about it. It only cost over $100. How come Wal-Mart’s cake icing doesn’t crack? We could have spent $25 for Wal-Mart cake. How many showers do people give you? Why do I have to leave the house for hours when they happen? Why do I have to take the dogs with me? They’re her dogs. Why are the dogs staying here AFTER she moves out? She is leaving the dogs here?! Who keeps buying bags of crap and filling all the closets with junk for “The Weddin”? I thought she was moving OUT after “The Weddin’”. Closets look like she moving in. Why not put this crap in Curtis apartment? They’re going need a bigger place. Hell, I need a bigger place. The garage is stuffed with tubs of crap. Why start planning a year in advance? The plans are still not final. She never plans it the same way ONCE. She changes her mind WHILE she plans. In mid sentence. Today I got the word that we need MORE chair covers. Why do I need more? Did the reception hall find more ugly chairs somewhere? Why am I responsible for every ugly chair in Denton, Texas? No wonder everyone cries at weddings.
