BIO Skills for Uni

This website has been designed to provide information and support for students studying or thinking about studying bio sciences at university (this might be a degree in biomedical science, cell and molecular biology, microbiology, human biosciences or something else). Whether you are at school, college or already in first year at university, the short activities, videos and slideshows will help you gain the academic skills you need to succeed. We expect a lot of you at university, but there is plenty of support and advice around when you require it. Hopefully, this website will help get you started.

The website and its content have been created by the team in the School of Health and Life Sciences’ Learning Development Centre at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Dr Stephanie Mckendry, Calum Nielsen, Deborah O’Neill, Dr Lina Petrakieva, Dr Lesley Roberts and Dr Nathalie Sheridan.

The development of this resource was made possible by funding from the Greater Glasgow Articulation Project. Our thanks go to Margaret Hawthorne and the team. It also builds on an earlier project coordinated by Dr Jane McKay, to whom we are most indebted. We were also greatly helped by Dr Linda Walsh and Dr Linda Jones.
