animal diversity

This activity introduces students to the diversity of animal form and function, with observations of the external anatomy and behavior of living earthworms, mealworms, crickets and crayfish and the internal anatomy of a preserved rat.  The student handout includes questions related to taxonomy and evolution.  The first attachment provides the student handout and the second attachment provides the teacher preparation notes.

Additional learning activities related to diversity, evolution and ecology are available at http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/exchange/bioactivities#ecoevo
