That's Entertainment
That's Entertainment
Unforgettable collection of sequences from MGM's greatest musicals. "Anchors Aweigh," "Babes in Arms," "Singin' in the Rain," "The Wizard of Oz," and more. Astaire, Crosby, Kelly, Minnelli, Sinatra and Rooney host. That's extravaganza, that's dance, that's song, that's entertainment. 135 min. Standard and Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, French Dolby Surround stereo; Subtitles: English, Spanish, French; theatrical trailer. NOTE: This Title Is Out Of Print; Limit One Per Customer.

This nostalgic history lesson in the treasures of MGM musicals touches upon the obvious highlights--An American in Paris, Singin' in the Rain, many others--and includes clips of wonderful though more obscure performances by Esther Williams, Jimmy Durante, Eleanor Powell, and even Clark Gable singing and dancing. It's a film lover's box of candy and perfect for musical mavens, and getting a chance to see so many legends host the whole affair (many of whom have died since the film's 1974 release) is as pleasing as the old footage. --Tom Keogh

Bing
Bing
Bing Crosby and 2 unidentified (but familiar looking?) men. Location unknown, maybe eastern Washington, Wenatchee? or.... And why does Bing have bird wings in his pockets? This is from a collection of family photos. Apparently an elderly great aunt said there was a story behind this, but told no more.
