Welcome to Bing Chu's homepage
Dr Bing Chu joined School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) at University of Southampton in March 2012 where he is currently a professor. Prior to this, he was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Oxford (June 2010 - March 2012).
He obtained his BEng degree in Automation and MSc degree in Control Science and Technology from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2004 and 2007, respectively. In 2009, he completed a PhD degree in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK. His thesis was on 'Iterative Learning Control using Successive Projection' and was under the supervision of Professor David H Owens.
His current research interests include learning control, analysis and control of networked systems, control design of sustainability development, applied optimisation theory and their practical applications.
