Read daily at home for 30 minutes!
Weekly - Write a letter to Mrs. Kelley in your Book Lover's Book about what your are reading. (see the sample in your notebook)
Writing - Write at least 10 minutes in your Writer's Notebook - use each day's lesson as a springboard.
Math - Finish any assignment from class, if needed - check with your teacher daily.

Bradford Woods Registration form - send in as soon as possible.  $110 is due the week before Fall Break. 
Bradford Woods Open House at Bradford Woods is on Sunday, September 20, 2015 - 3-5pm  (optional)

Reading - Find 30 minutes of reading time - enjoy!  Become a "Wild Reader" - more about that to come!  Wild Readers want to read no matter what!  For Wild Readers, reading is as important as eating and sleeping!

Writing - find at least 10 minutes of writing time. - enjoy!  Continue something you started in class, or find something new to write about!  Read your own writing when you are finished!  How does it sound?  Do you want to change anything?  Do you want to add more?  This week, we are talking about retelling fairy tales in our writing lessons.

Book Club Orders are due on Friday, August 14, 2014.  You can order online with our classroom code:

Writing - Try the 140 character Memoir
Apple Reflection Activity  - you can work on this at home if you want.
Decorations for your Reader's Notebook & Writer's Notebook - you can bring in things to decorate with or work on it at home as well.

Can you believe we have so few days of school left!
This Week:

Today:  ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE,  Work on Passion Project
Wednesday: Final Push for Passion Project
Thursday: Passion Projects presentations for our class.
Friday: Egg Drop, 9:25 am OPTIONAL

Next Week: 
Monday: No school, enjoy Memorial Day!
Tuesday, 5.26: Read-A-Thon, students should bring loads of reading material and are welcome to bring comfortable pillows/sleeping bags, etc. 
Wednesday, 5.27: Field Day!
Thursday, 5.28: Last Day of School - Book Club groups have planned to share some special treats.

Summer Time
*Pick 3 great challenge books for summertime reading!
*Make a math challenge plan for yourself - what math activities can you do to stay sharp?  Mrs. Kelley can help you with your plan!
*Writing - Keep a summer writing journal.
