Picture notes: The repaired handle. I re-crocheted the unraveled part and sealed the stitches with a heat-resistant epoxy. I'll probably go back through the last row with some translucent fishing wire to give it some extra strength. It had originally been reinforced with black thread, but most of it was damaged. Project notes: I found this "the Sak" bag in bad condition at a thrift store. The lining was ripped out and shredded. The crocheted handle had broken threads and was unraveling and the structure form of the bag was misplaced. I re-crocheted the unraveled parts and sealed the stitches with a high-heat epoxy. All the shells and beads were intact and well attached.

Picture notes: This seam was the hardest on the bag as it was not only ripped, but was shredded and frayed. I was able to seal it up without displacing the base of the bag, but I had to use a slip stitch that can be seen. I would have rather had the stitching hidden, but that would have puckered the bag too much. Project notes: I found this "the Sak" bag in bad condition at a thrift store.
