On the road 12 volt tire pump for an emergency air source
On the road 12 volt tire pump for an emergency air source
This is the 12 volt tire air pump I carry in my motorcycle kit when traveling for those rare times you need to add air to a tire and you are no where near an air source Notice the power cord is fitted with a 2 prong trailer plug. My current touring bike KLR and touring scooter (Helix) have the corresponding two prong end attached to the battery to plug in this device or an electrically heated vest, battery charger This air pump originally had an exterior plastic case surrounding it. I removed the plastic bits so it would pack down smaller. You can typically find these pumps in big box stores for about $10 FWIW, I've had this pump 15 + years and the air hose you see is the second hose. The original hose started cracking from age and would let air escape (not good) so I replaced it. I mention this because, if you use a pump like this, you will want to periodically check the condition of the hose so it will work when you need it
