At Big Sky Alpacas we are happy to provide advice and information to anyone who is considering purchasing alpacas.  Owning alpacas is an ongoing learning experience, and we enjoy sharing the knowledge we have with others.

We are pleased to offer a range of alpacas for sale as pets, herd guards, and breeding stock.  As the ongoing health and happiness of our animals (and our customers!) is a priority for us, the purchase price includes full after sales support and service.

We can also tailor a package of alpacas to suit your requirements.

All of our alpacas are registered on the International Alpaca Register (IAR), and their pedigree certificates are available.  Transfer fees are the responsibility of the purchaser, unless otherwise noted.  All animals come with a "Paca Care Kit", which includes basic alpaca information, animal husbandry notes, and a supply of feed to transition them into their new home.  Their health history (weights, treatments etc) is also provided.

Prices are inclusive of GST.

Alpaca fibre and yarn for sale

We sell fleece to manufacturers for processing, and have also had some fleece processed into 100% alpaca yarn.  We also keep a quality selection of raw alpaca fleece for purchase by spinners and handcrafters.  Fleece is available in white and light fawn, plus one only fancy (white/dark fawn) fleece.  The fleece has been skirted, but is otherwise straight from animals via the shears, and is priced for sale by skirted fleece weight from $22/kg (including GST).

Big Sky Alpaca Yarn

All of our yarn is the natural colour of the alpaca (or a blend of alpacas with similar fleece colour), and is 100% pure Australian Alpaca.  Each ball is 50g, and approximately 120 metres in length.

The price is $9.90 per ball, discounted to $8.25 per ball for orders of 6 or more.
