  • 1st Post ANNOUNCEMENTSHello folks, our fiscal year begins July 1, dues are $10.00, we hate to burden you, but if you have not yet paid your dues, please mail $10.00 to   Attention:  Friends of Big Pine Creek, P.O. Big Pine Creek is on the IDEM 2008, 2010 Impaired Waters Lists.   Noted impairments in parts of the Big Pine Creek Watershed are:  Lead, E. coli, Algae, Impaired Biotic Communities, Sediment loads, and PCBs & Mercury in Fish.

 Note:  Tanya & Margy did a preliminary inventory of our 14 digit Carbondale watershed using Google Maps for their Indiana Watershed Leadership Academy Project.  We welcome interested participants in continuing working on an inventory or developing similar maps for special purposes.
