Serial Console Connection
Bifferboard, unlike your PC, doesn't come with any VGA display, or indeed, anywhere to connect one. Like many other embedded devices you need to use a serial cable to talk to it. The serial cable has to send no more than 3.3v to the Bifferboard, so a normal RS232 cable is no good. The serial cable supplied on the 'Buy' page converts USB signals to the correct levels, and will generally appear as a serial device on your PC when you plug it on. The 0.1-inch connector at the other end connects to your Bifferboard.

Note that only +5v, TX, RX and GND are available. There are no handshake lines (DTR etc...).
