I’ma shake you off though Get up on that horse and Ride into the sunset Look back with no remorse - Werewolf, Cocorosie Goodbye sweetheart. I'm moving in 16 days for college. I'm about 1 part excited to 10 parts terrified. I don't really know anyone at all. It's a new city, new state, new life, new atmosphere; but when I set foot on campus I just feel empty. I just got home from living in New York City for a month as an NYU Steinhardt Summer Art Intensive student. I completely fell in love. I never thought I could feel homesick for a place that I spent such little time in, but it completely changed me. Almost to the point where I regret not putting myself 120k in debt to go to school there. Almost. I keep telling myself that I can handle a small city for 4 short years. I hope I'm right. More pressing is the fact that I'm leaving at all though. I feel like there's a lot of unfinished business in my hometown I suppose. A lack of closure, perhaps. It's hard to describe. I rather dislike it though. Everything is just too little, too late. Regardless, I realize that flickrwise I have been a total flake, I apologize for such flakiness. I didn't have my laptop at all in New York. You know how it is in the city. Anyways, a friend of mine was in town from Texas when I got home and I was riding in his car when we got a flat tire. I just happened to have my camera with me, so I figured I'd shoot a little something to let you guys know I'm still alive. I apologize for the lack of depth to my photographs as of late though. I'll change it soon. I just haven't really had time to breathe. I love you all though. I'll be back. Love, Nicole.
