Thank you for listening this far to this audio magazine.  This collection of clips from telephone calls is an attempt to hold an ongoing virtual reunion of people who remember thoughtful caring teachers and staff at our old school.  I’m a teacher and I wish I could work at JC’s school.  We have the power of creating our work environment and so I’ve been introducing techniques at schools where I work that I experienced at our school:  eating with students, going on expeditions, creating projects outside , highlighting non-academic skillbuilding, promoting good nutrition, picking up litter, assigned seating in dining and making sure students eat with an adult, reducing cigarette smoking wherever possible, appreciating nature and spending time in nature, offering a thought for the day and posting quotations throughout the classrooms.  These procedures imbue my workspace with elements pulled from my teen years, inspired by ES, TS, DR, RFW, JC, CRH, JX, DB, GD, PAR, FK and others.

I encourage you to call each other, make a recording of your conversation, like a sundial, we record the sunny hours, then share those insights via youtube or audio disks.  Let’s celebrate each other’s projects and post them on websites.  You can go to myaiglon.com and click on a list of products and services and charities supported by our school mates.

Let’s click on the LIKE buttons for Facebook pages of Bahman Azarm’s zipline adventure parks, Tom Meadowcroft’s wine, and Jeremy McWilliam’s B and B and woodworking site.  Let’s hit the websites of Clive Hartwell’s sheepskin business called SkyeSkyns.co.uk, Alex Holland’s car import/export enterprise, film projects by Cecilia, Iain Barraclough’s computer projects, and the expertise of George Hartogensis and Federico Galimberti’s design group.  I think Andrea Pestolozza has a publishing business, Sandro Corsini has a restaurant and what about a click on Arthur von Wiesenberger’s internet radio show?   There are more projects that could be supported.  Visit the list

.  The mission of BIB is   Bringing people together over the Internet  ... We remove obstacles ...

We work to support well-informed cross-cultural conversations..  If you are a U.S. taxpayer and you know about a charity somewhere in the world that needs support, send the idea to me at 954 646 8246 or my email BuildingInternationalBridges@Gmail.com.

There are also charities created by alumni, and that’s where we can all contribute a pizza once a month.  Remember soup lunch?  We ate simply and donated the saved proceeds to a charity.  I call it “two thousand twenties.”   Every month 2,000 alumni could eat simply and find an extra $20 or 13 euros to put to a charity.  To help you in the USA to connect with charities created and supported by classmates, I’ve identified four school projects inspired by JC’s philosophy:

Jennie Hinde:  The Gordon Dyke education fund needs to raise $20,000 to support an endowment that  will generate school fees for orphans in perpetuity – learn more at NewDawn-Association.org

John Moodie is thinking about converting a farm into a school workspace

Ben Udy has operated an English language school in Honduras

Ali Egal’s Boarding school for girls is gaining momentum and could use our collective support.

Two thousand twenties every month could turn into fifty million pennies each year.  Learn more about tax deductions by visiting BuildingInternationalBridges.org.   Let's remove obstacles together.
