May 20-23, 2008 - Transfer of records to new officers as they prepare for their first official day on May 24, 2008.

April 29, 2008 - BHS PTSA meeting. Election and installation of officers for 2008-2010. 

April 26, 2008 - Butler Beautification Project started.

March 27, 2008 - BHS PTSA President and Treasurer attended the RCCPTA Council Meeting at Glenn Hills Middle School.

March 24, 2008 - PTSA Meeting - Pizza with the Principal. Meeting was adjourned early because a quorum was not present.

March 13, 2008 - BHS PTSA President attended the MGT Presentation for the Performance Review of Richmond County School System and regularly scheduled RCBoE meeting.

March 3, 2008 - BHS PTSA President and Vice President attended the At Risk Youth Initiative at Augusta State University.

February 28, 2008 - Priority reports submitted to GA PTA in the following categories: Arts in Education, Parent/Family Involvement, Education Enrichment, Communication, and Legislation/Advocacy.

February 23, 2008 - BHS PTSA Treasurer attended the Auditor's Workshop sponsored by RCCPTA.

February 21, 2008 - Presented information for the Butler Beautification Project to RCBoE. Submitted a basic plan of action and request for support. BHS PTSA President, Vice President, and Parliamentarian attended the school board meeting.

February 21, 2008 - Received Certificate of Incorporation from the Secretary of State (GA) with an effective date of January 28, 2008 - Butler High School PTSA, Inc. BHS PTSA, Inc.'s certification and information can be found through the Georgia Corporations website: BHS PTSA, Inc.

February 20, 2008 - Engineering Day at BHS for all students enrolled in a Science course. BHS PTSA Treasurer coordinated with BHS Science Department Lead to invite engineers from Savannah River Site to speak with the students about engineering opportunities.

February 13, 2008 - BHS PTSA President took 2 student members (Photographer and Parliamentarian) to Atlanta, GA for PTA Day at the Capitol.

February 12, 2008 - PTSA Meeting. Discussed ideas for the student area revitalization using the Lowe's Toolbox for Education grant. Mrs. Venus Cain attended the meeting.

January 28, 2008 - Butler HS PTSA is officially Incorporated.

January 24, 2008 - BHS PTSA President and Vice President attended the Report Writing Workshop hosted by RCCPTA at John Milledge Elementary School.

January 16, 2008 - Filed Incorporation application, soon to be BHS PTSA, Inc.

January 15, 2008 - BHS PTSA was awarded a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant in the amount of $5000 for a Butler Beautification Project. School to use grant money for student area

December 14 - 6:30 PM - Richmond County HS Talent Show held in the gym at Butler. Dr. Wycliffe Gordon presented the awards to the winning students and everyone enjoyed a special performance by the Butler Choir and Mr. James and the BHS Marching Band, Dancing and Flag Girls. December 10 - 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM - BHS Officers attended and provided assistance with the iParent registration and accessing the computers. 6:30 PM PTSA Meeting - Updates from the Senior Class, Talent Show, Reflections,  Treasurer, and BHS Principal.

December 8 - BHS PTSA President and Secretary attended the District 8 Winter Conference held at the Richmond County Board of Education.

December 1, 8 - Conducted final dress rehearsals for the Talent Show @ BHS.

December 1 - Conducted one Volunteer Training/Orientation Workshop and one Scholarhip Workshop @ BHS.

November 27, 2007 - Attended RCCPTA Reflections program held at Glen Hills Middle School. Two students from Butler placed first for 9th and 10th grades in the Visual Arts category and their projects are on the way to Atlanta for the GA PTA Reflections.

November 3, 10, 17 - Conducted auditions and rehearsals for the Talent Show @ BHS.

November 3, 2007 - Supported all students taking the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) by providing gum, mints, and well wishes.  Conducted Talent Show auditions @ 10:00 AM.

October 29, 2007 - BHS PTSA President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Special Needs Liaison attended the RCCPTA President & Treasurer's Workshop/meeting held at the RCBOE.

October 27, 2007 - BHS PTSA President volunteered at Saturday School.

October 22, 2007 - BHS PTSA Secretary/Reflections Chair submits the Reflections projects submitted by the BHS students.

October 18, 2007 - Participated in Butler High School's Homecoming Parade.

October 16, 2007 - BHS PTSA Reflections program and Progress Report night at Butler HS.

October 12, 2007 - Paid RCCPTA dues in order to participate in Reflections.

October 11, 2007 - Attended the RCBOE School Board meeting with one senior BHS Student.  School board is surprised by $2.5 million deficit.

October 6, 2007 - Supported all students taking the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). Held a volunteer meeting for the volunteers for the Talent Show in December.

September 26, 2007 7-7:15AM - Encouraged and supported all students who came together for SYATP (See You At the Pole).

September 24, 2007 - BHS PTSA General Meeting 6:30-7:30 @ BHS Media Center

September 12, 2007 - BHS President, Vice President attended the RCBOE (Richmond County Board of Education) monthly meeting.

September 10, 2007 - BHS PTSA Executive Board Meeting at BHS.

September 6, 2007 - BHS President, Secretary, and one PTSA member attended the RCBOE required Booster Club policy meeting. Provided Linda LaMarr, RCBOE Internal Auditor one copy of the BHS PTSA audit report for 2006-2007.

August 27, 2007 - First general PTSA Meeting of 2007-2008 School Year. The summary of the meeting highlights and events was posted/distributed through the BHS PTSA Newsgroup.

August 25, 2007 - BHS President, Vice President, Secretary, and Special Services Chair attended the School of Information hosted by RCCPTA at Deer Chase Elementary from 10:00AM - 1:00PM. Dr. Bedden was the guest speaker.

August 8, 2007 - Supported Butler High School Registration Day.  BHS PTSA President and Vice President attended the Meet and Greet with Dr. Bedden at Bayvale Elementary. This event was hosted by 2 School Board Members, Mr. Joe Scott and Mrs. Barbara Pulliam.

August 5, 2007 - BHS PTSA Vice President attended the Taking Back the Street event held at the Boys and Girls Club.

August 4,  2007 - Participated/Supported the Freshman Orientation for incoming freshman at Butler High School.

August 1, 2007 - 2007-2008 Membership drive begins.
