若復苾芻尼知童女年滿二十。不與二歲學六法六隨法。即受近圓者。波逸底迦。 Should any bhikkhuni, knowing that a maiden is fully twenty years old, give [her] the full ordination without the two years of training in the six dhammas and six anudhammas, [this entails a] pacittiya.
緣處同前。時吐羅難陀苾芻尼。與他年滿二十童女出家。 Same place as before [at Savatthi]. At that time, Bhikkhuni Thullananda gave the going forth to a maiden who was fully twenty years old.
而自念曰。若年十八可受六法六隨法。彼今年滿二十。何須更與二年正學法。便受近圓。 She thought to herself as follows: “At eighteen years of age, one can undertake two years of training in the six dhammas and six anudhammas. So now that this girl is twenty years old, there is no need for her to undertake the two years of correct training [正學法].” She then gave the maiden full ordination.
尼白苾芻。苾芻白佛。佛問訶責。廣說乃至制其學處。應如是說。 The bhikkhunis informed the bhikkhus. The bhikkhus then reported this to the Buddha. The Buddha inquired about this and rebuked them. [All should be explained as above, as far as:] “... now I lay down this precept for bhikkhunis, from now on the precept should be spoken as follows:
若復苾芻尼。知童女年滿二十。不與二歲學六法六隨法。即受近圓者。波逸底迦。 Should any bhikkhuni, knowing that a maiden is fully twenty years old, give [her] the full ordination without the two years of training in the six dhammas and six anudhammas, [this entails a] pacittiya.”
尼謂吐羅尼。或復餘尼。餘義如上。釋罪相等事並同前。 ‘Bhikkhuni’ means Bhikkhuni Thullananda or other bhikkhunis.Other definitions as above. The details of offenses are explained as before.
