I am currently working as R&D engineer in Siri Speech Team at Apple. Before that I was a PhD student at ILCC, University of Edinburgh. During my PhD, I worked on Incremental Natural Language Parsing using Neural Networks under the supervision of Prof. Mark Steedman. My research interests are natural language parsing and syntax based machine translation and speech recognition. I am also interested in Cognitive Science, IE and IR.
I interned at Apple Siri Speech team from Jun-Sep, 2015.
I did my dual degree (B.Tech + MS by Research) from IIIT - Hyderabad. My main work was on dependency parsing and automatic error detection in treebanks. I have explored many novel approaches for both of these tasks as part of my MS thesis. Title of my MS thesis is Hindi Dependency Parsing and Treebank Validation.
I worked at Language Technologies Research Center (LTRC), under the guidance of Prof. Rajeev Sangal , and Dr. Dipti Misra Sharma. I also closely worked with Prof. Joakim Nivre , Prof. Bipin Indurkhya and Mr. Samar Husain. I worked as Research Assistant and also as project assistant for Hindi/Urdu treebanking project at LTRC. I worked as Software Engineer in Parsing Team at FactSet Research Systems, Hyderabad, India from March 2011 to August 2012.
