The Birmingham Friends of Old-Time Music and Dance holds dances on the second Saturday of  each month at the YWCA in downtown Birmingham and on some 4th Sunday afternoons for a low admission fee with discounts for members, students and children. Saturday night dances begin with warm-ups and teaching at 7:00 p.m. and the music starts at 7:30 p.m. Sunday dances start at 4 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. (Please note: in the summer we only dance once a month on Saturdays.) We can only take 300 people, and with Perpetual e-Motion, Red Mountain White Trash, The Yahoos, Mick Kinney, and Jambiance playing tunes AND Cis Hinkle, Susan Davis, Scott Russell, and Gary Nelson calling the calls, you cannot miss this!
