Cyclist Connection: No, I didn’t wake up one day and say “I can do this better than the other guy”. I started when I was eleven. I came home with a muddy bike from a long hard day of riding. I set out to clean it and before I knew, it was in pieces. I learned quickly how things worked and put it back together better than new. I propped the bike in front of the fireplace and sat there staring at it all night. I was even more proud the next morning when I woke up on the couch and found my parents had put my bike to bed instead of me.

Years later, and a lot of hard work, the passion of cycling has never gone.  With the help of my family, and the encouragement of my wife, my dream has come true.  Now with more than 20 years in business, I still enjoy working in the shop every day and helping others to find the perfect ride.

Lauf Cycling
Having spent the last few years studying gravel bikes and gravel riding, in a way, the Lauf True Grit gravel bike is something that “just happened”. In the beginning, it was a question of “How our Lauf forks could best complement gravel bikes?”. That question soon developed into “What are the optimal parameters for our forks and gravel bikes to work together?”. Which then eventually became “What would be the ultimate gravel bike?”. In the end, we simply couldn't resist making the gravel bike of our dreams.
