We head into the winter course with only 4 members now. Returning are:

Continuous Integration With Hudson

Our Hudson setup is finally complete! (for now)

Here are the details on the 2 main jobs:

1. Build Contour

This job is in place for frequent, incremental builds of the repo.  Every 15 minutes Hudson polls svn for changes and if there is a change, it will build the project, run all unit tests, and report the results in email.  If the build fails all team members are notified, however, if it passes only those who checked in changes are notified.  This way only problems are seen by the whole team so that everyone knows not to check out the latest (because it has problems).  The team will continue to be notified until the next successful build upon which everyone will be notified that it is fixed.  Regular work can resume.

2. Contour Nightly

This job pulls down a clean copy of the repo from SVN at 5:05 AM (configurable - if there's a better time let me know but I figured while we were all asleep would be best).  Then Hudson builds and runs unit tests.  After this it reports the results to the entire team

Extra Awesome: Hudson Google Calendar Plugin

Tonight I was able to successfully install a google cal plugin that reports the nightly build status to our team's google calendar.  The first build to use this feature was published in a test run tonight:

Lost a Team Member

Brian has left the team.  His job situation became too much he had to withdraw from class.

We wish him luck!

Reorganized the Webpage

As we close in on iteration one, I decided to reorganize some of the web page to make the game play design more readable.

I changed the "wiki" to "gameplay design" and moved Quality Assurance out in the navigator window.

I also made the news heading as our main entry point to the site.

Lots of Design Done

Contour is the title of the game

So we officially moved from project to a title.

The title of the game is Contour.
The name of the ship is Phalanx.

All official documentation will now be added to the wiki under "documentation"
This is so we can keep it all in one place.

I put the final version of the Concept Document there.

The team is getting larger!  This week we welcome Aaron Solomon and Brian Fornelli.  The professor put out one last call for team changes so this looks like it.
